Chapter 1: General Provisions & System Overview
1.1 Operation and Maintenance Vision and Service Philosophy (Vision & Core Philosophy)
CoreTect abandons the traditional "Break-fix" model and is committed to building a "Data-driven O&M" system.
The current goal of this manual is to fully implement "Preventive Maintenance" through standardized on-site operations and cloud data monitoring, and gradually evolve to the ultimate "Predictive Maintenance" as the underlying data in the cloud continues to accumulate. It aims to maximize the life cycle of energy storage assets (ESS), eliminate safety accidents, and ensure asset return rates.
1.2 Scope & Service Boundaries
In order to clarify the division of powers and responsibilities and ensure the effective implementation of SLA service standards, CoreTect clearly defines the following service boundaries:
Scope of jurisdiction (SLA coverage area): Industrial and commercial/residential energy storage system cabinets, internal BMS communication links, CoreTect intelligent cloud gateway (4GDTU) and temperature control security subsystems authorized by CoreTect to leave the factory and take over.
Non-jurisdictional area (customer exemption area): Failures caused by grid surge, customers' unauthorized tampering with inverter parameters, or unauthorized disassembly of cabinets by non-CoreTect authorized personnel. Emergency repairs triggered by this part need to be converted into paid services (PaidService).
Note: Core Network Disclaimer: CoreTect is not responsible for cloud data interruption, delay or warning failure caused by the following external factors:
1. The customer’s SIM card is in arrears or has been cancelled;
2. The local operator (Globe/Smart) in the Philippines has a base station failure or a large-scale network paralysis;
3. Power outage of local communication base stations caused by extreme weather such as typhoons and earthquakes;
4. The customer blocks, removes or physically damages the 4G DTU antenna and network cable.
1.3 Core terms and definitions (Glossary of Terms)
In order to ensure absolute standardization of communication among all employees, technical personnel and agents at all levels must be familiar with the following core abbreviations:
BMS (Battery Management System): Battery Management System. Responsible for voltage, temperature collection and basic protection of the underlying battery cells.
PCS (Power Conversion System): energy storage converter (inverter). Responsible for the conversion and dispatch of AC and DC power.
ESS (Energy Storage System): Energy storage system. Overall cluster including battery, BMS, PCS and auxiliary equipment.
HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning): Temperature control system. Specifically refers to the industrial air conditioner or liquid cooling host of the energy storage cabinet.
SOC (State of Charge): Percentage of remaining power.
SOH (State of Health): Battery health percentage (core data for asset life estimation).
SLA (Service Level Agreement): Service Level Agreement. Legal contracts constraining fault response times and repair standards.
MTTR (Mean Time To Repair): Mean time to repair. The core assessment indicator for measuring the efficiency of the operation and maintenance team.
LOTO (Lockout-Tagout): tag out and lock out. The highest safety red line for industrial maintenance means that after cutting off hazardous energy, physical locks and warning signs must be used for isolation.
RCA (Root Cause Analysis): Root cause analysis. A liability investigation report must be issued after a major failure.
Delta-V (ΔV): Single cell voltage difference. Key indicators reflecting the consistency and degradation of the battery.
1.4 Operation and maintenance personnel qualification requirements and EHS regulations (Qualifications & EHS Policy)
1.4.1 Personnel qualifications and skill requirements:
Preferred: Applicants who hold a locally recognized electrician special operation certificate in the Philippines (such as TESDA/PRC certification) will be given priority.
Mandatory requirement (Mandatory): Regardless of whether they hold a certificate or not, all engineers involved in front-line maintenance must pass CoreTect's internal "BMS underlying logic and cloud gateway configuration" practical training, and can only take up the job after meeting the assessment score.
1.4.2 EHS (environment, health and safety) absolute red line:
1. Principle of zero-live operation: Except for using a thermal imager to scan and a multimeter to check the electricity, it is strictly forbidden to touch the AC and DC busbars without completely cutting off the power and leaving them standing for discharge.
2. Severe weather ban: During thunderstorm or typhoon warnings (Signal No. 2 and above) in the Philippines, it is absolutely prohibited to perform any opening and repair operations including grid-connected cabinets and outdoor energy storage cabinets.
1.5 Operation and maintenance organizational structure and work order flow (O&M Organizational Structure)
In order to support future cross-regional (Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, etc.) business expansion, CoreTect has established the following standard four-level response structure:
Level 1: CoreTect Cloud remote monitoring center (cloud intelligent monitoring, responsible for data collection, automatic generation of work orders and P3 level remote troubleshooting).
Level 2: Regional operation and maintenance engineer/authorized agent (responsible for on-site physical inspection, parts replacement and P2 level troubleshooting after receiving the order).
Level 3: Senior technical support expert (Manila headquarters/online support, responsible for complex communication error analysis, BMS firmware upgrade and P1 level major incident command).
Level 4: Original factory R&D support (the base of China's major supply chain manufacturers, responsible for hardware-level fatal defect analysis and RMA return to factory replacement process).
1.6 Document version and revision management system (Document Control)
This SOP is the core cornerstone of CoreTect system operation. All maintenance actions are subject to legal and quality systems. The document adopts the following version control specifications:
V 1.0 (equivalent version): represents the first basic version of the business system established for the first time.
V 1.x (decimal point revision): Small-scale revisions based on parameter changes and tool updates discovered in actual combat (such as adding instructions for the wiring sequence of a certain brand of BMS).
V 2.0/3.0 (major version upgrade): A comprehensive reconstruction and upgrade for the transformation of the company's business model, the launch of a new generation of cloud systems, or the introduction of new liquid-cooled architecture cabinets.
Note: All revised versions of this manual must be used as the legal basis for future customer audits (Audits), ISO system certification, and engineering claim determination.
